Time Has Come to reduce Smoking Rates in Kentucky

Kentucky has both the highest cancer rate and the highest smoking rate in the nation. A diverse array of organizations and advocates have decided these statistics can no longer stand. They will join together at a news conference in Frankfort on Oct. 18 to launch a new Coalition that will advocate for polices to reduce smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke. Coalition for a Smoke-Free Tomorrow partners and members include health advocates, businesses, health care providers, educators, and faith-based organizations supporting a tobacco tax increase, smoke-free ordinances and tobacco cessation programs.
