Join the American Lung Association at “Once Upon A Time…A Spirited Soiree!”
(Louisville, KY—July 17, 2018) The American Lung Association in Kentucky and A Breath of Fresh Air are pleased to announce former Congressman Ben Chandler as the 2018 Honorary Chair for their 10th anniversary benefit. Chandler is president and CEO of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, and chair of the Coalition for a Smoke-Free Tomorrow. The work of the Foundation and the Coalition are closely aligned with the American Lung Association’s mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, with the partnerships supporting health efforts for all Kentuckians.
Reserve seats now for “Once Upon A Time…A Spirited Soiree!” You’ll feel as though you’ve entered the Enchanted Forest…just for an evening, enter the land of make-believe, come dressed in costume and enjoy an evening with a gourmet themed dinner, delicious confections provided by Cellar Door Chocolates, music by the Sensations, dancing, and costume contest. Bid on one of the eight auction items including: a week-long stay for four in Tuscany, Montana fly-fishing experience for four with certified guide, tasting experience for ten in Bourbon Barrel Foods Theater Kitchen with owner Matt Jamie & Chef Bobby Benjamin of Butchertown Grocery, or a gourmet dinner cooked in the comforts of your home by the owner of 211 Clover Lane Restaurant.
It’s all happening Saturday, October 27 at 6:30 PM at The Olmstead on Frankfort Avenue. This event is produced by A Breath of Fresh Air, a volunteer-driven advocacy group that supports the important work of the American Lung Association, including medical research, school and community health programs, tobacco control, smoking cessation, asthma education, patient support services, and clean air initiatives.
